15th AUGUST is very vital and special day for every Indian.So it is not only date to calender in India because it is witnessed for which freedom fighter sacrificed their life for INDEPENDENCE.But now Some people misused this INDEPENDENCE by taking defence of freedom.any way I want to share Untold story whom was unknown to.
This is true incident of SARAGRAHI BATTLE.The battle fought by 21 brave Sikhs.
This battle was arised on 12th september 1897 before TIRAH CAMPAIGN between British Indian Army and Afgan orakzai.Saragrahi is small village which is situated on Samana Range border of kohat district.There were 36 sikhs Regiment created under Colonel J.Cook on 20 April 1894.In that Era British had succeeded to control partially volatile area.However tribal Pashtun attcked British.So
Maharaja Ranjit Singh,Ruler of Sikh Empire,was built series of forts were consolidated.
There were 2 forts situated a few miles apart.Such fort named Fort Lockhart and Fort Gulistan. Saragrahi created mid day as Heligraphic communication post because of such 2 forts did not visible to each other.
Unauspicious day arised with evil morning,about 9 a.m Afghans who were around 10,000 reach at Saragrahi.and They attacked at Saragrahi So that Sardar Gumukh Singh signals to Col.Haughton stating send immediate help to Saragrahi but fate has different plan unfortunately Col.Haughton was helpless that he stated he can not send immediate help.Soldiers decided to fight to the last,to prevent the enemy from reaching Forts.Soldiers were only 21 and Enemy Army was huge i.e.10,000 Afgans.It was condition of Do or Die.War started at starting point 1 soldier was seriously injured who named Bhagwan singh and Lal singh was wounded.It was time which becomes evil for them.Soldier Jiwa singh carried dead body of Bhagwan singh on his back to inner layer of post.Despite Enemy broke the portion wall of picket.Afgans knew that they were few so that they forcly tried to entice Soldiers to surrender.Though Soldiers injured,they did not surrender.They wanted to fight for saving Saragrahi from them.Another singnal came from Col.Haughton that between 10,000 or 14,000 attacking Saragrahi.Another strong Attack came from Afgan who attempted to open Fort's gate but they failed.After some time wall of fort breached.As consequence such Soldiers were hand to hand fight with them.
Lastly,Soldiers were killed by Afgans.One of them Gurmukh singh who reported to Col.Haughton that He was last Sikh Defender Furthermore He Stated to have killed 20 Afgans.He was dying he was said repeatedly the Sikh Battle cry"Bole So Nihal,Sat Sri Akal".He died at the end of his life for protecting Saragrahi.The Battle ends very tragic way.After winning Afgan admitted that they had lost about 180 killed and many more wounded during the Battle against 21 Sikh.After Battle they were awarded INDIAN ORDER OF MERIT,highest gallantry award of that time

These days are festive.Everyone is busy to celebrate it and its worth it.Diwali Is Huge and essential Festival in India and It has its own Importance.So I wish to You all HAPPY DIWALI
Diwali comes with Joy,crackers of Ease.It gives us chance to harmony with our's dearest people and others also.But as days passes Pollutin is increased so that its our National Duty To erect it and Maintain natural atmosphere.Despite we have to little contribute to maintain auspicious atmosphere.We have to do this-

2)To say good bye to explosive crackers
3) To help poors
4) To lights up at least one Diva or Panti in name of Our Soldiers
5) To support our Indian Products
